Frequently Asked Questions

What types of filters are available?

8 filters are available: grayscale, sepia, brightness, contrast, saturation, invert, blur, and hue rotate. 8 presets are also supported: Original, B&W, Vintage, Vivid, Dark, Bright, Cool, and Warm. Each filter can be fine-tuned with a slider.

Can I fine-tune the filter intensity?

Yes, each filter has a slider so you can adjust it from 0% to the maximum value. For example, the grayscale filter ranges from 0–100%, and brightness and contrast can be set from 0–200%. Changes are reflected in the preview in real time.

Is the original image preserved after applying filters?

Yes, the original image is always stored separately in browser memory. You can revert to the original state at any time by clicking the Reset Filters button. All processing is done within the browser and images are never uploaded to any server.

Can I stack multiple filters at the same time?

Yes. For example, applying both the sepia filter and brightness adjustment at the same time gives you a combined result. Try selecting a preset and then fine-tuning with sliders to combine various effects. The downloaded image will have all filters composited together.

What is an Image Filter?

Image filters are techniques that adjust the color, brightness, contrast, and more of a photo to express a desired mood or aesthetic. Grayscale removes color to create a classic, artistic atmosphere, while Sepia adds a brownish tone for a vintage feel. Vintage filters give the look of faded old photographs, and the Vivid filter increases contrast and saturation to produce lively, dynamic images.

Tips for Using Image Filters for Social Media

Using filters when posting photos to Instagram, Twitter, and other social media can make your content far more attractive. For landscape photos, boosting saturation and contrast creates a sharper, more impressive image. For portraits, slightly increasing brightness while lowering saturation makes skin tones look natural and soft. For food photography, warm tones and high saturation are an effective technique that stimulates appetite. Maintaining a consistent filter style across your posts creates a unified brand image for your entire feed.

How to Set the Mood in Photos

Using the Hue Rotate filter can completely transform the color palette of a photo. Applying a subtle blur effect creates a soft, dreamy atmosphere, while the Invert filter is ideal for creating unique, experimental artwork. Combining multiple filters lets you develop your own original style, so try out various combinations.
